CBS TV Show’s Final Episode Streams on Paramount+ Today

A month after it was officially canceled, Paramount+ has added the series finale episode of CBS‘s medical mystery drama to its library. Starring Boyz n the Hood vet Morris Chestnut, the final installment of Watson has officially ended its run with the premiere of Season 2’s twentieth and final episode, which is now available to stream on Paramount+.

Watson was a modern spin-off of Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic Sherlock Holmes story. The show began six months after the death of Sherlock Holmes at the hands of Moriarty. Chestnut played Dr. John Watson, who opened a clinic in Pittsburgh, where he uses his experience working with Sherlock to help patients with strange medical issues.

What do we know about the CBS TV show’s final episode on Paramount+?

Watson Season 2, Episode 20, titled “The Cobalt Fissure,” was directed by Larry Teng from a screenplay written by Rebecca Hofherr and Sharon Moalem. Besides Chestnut, the series finale also featured Eve Harlow as Dr. Ingrid Derian, Ritchie Coster as Shinwell Johnson, and Inga Schlingmann as Dr. Sasha Lubbock, with guest star Eddie Izzard as Sebastian Moran.

“A seemingly random murder outside of UHOP sets the stage for the arrival of someone from Watson and Sherlock Holmes’ past,” reads the logline for the finale episode.

Watson was written and executive-produced by showrunner Craig Sweeney. The series also starred Peter Mark Kendall, Rochelle Aytes, Tika Sumpter, Amanda Crew, Rachel Hayward, Robert Carlyle, Noah Mills, Karen Robinson, Khary Payton, Clarke Peters, and more. It is executive produced by Chestnut, Sallie Patrick, Larry Teng, Aaron Kaplan, Brian Morewitz, and Shäron Moalem, MD, PhD. It was a production by CBS Studios.
