Netflix‘s new TV and movie release schedule for this week, May 11 – May 17, 2026, includes a horror thriller from the director of Doctor Strange.
Directed by Scott Derrickson, Black Phone 2 is a sequel to the 2021 flick, The Black Phone. The story follows a teenage girl named Gwen who is haunted by disturbing visions. She and her brother Finn then decide to solve the mystery, eventually facing the deadly killer, Grabber. Black Phone 2 opened to mostly positive reviews and emerged as a success at the box office. The film grossed $132 million worldwide against a $30 million budget.
The star cast features Ethan Hawke, Mason Thames, Madeleine McGraw, Demián Bichir, and many others in key roles.
Other upcoming Netflix releases include an English sports documentary, an animated film featuring NBA star Stephen Curry, and a high-profile MMA event set to be livestreamed this weekend.
