Kristen Kish has been hosting Top Chef since Season 21 in 2024.
Kish was originally a contestant on the Bravo show, winning Season 10 and has hosted a number of food shows since that victory including TruTV’s Fast Foodies and Netflix’s Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend.
Now, as she continues to cook up challenges for real chefs on the long-running hit, she’s got her eye on an entirely different kind of show.
She told Deadline’s Reality TV Summit that she really wants to host a queer dating show.
“Wouldn’t that just be amazing? I think that I’m emotionally available. I’m in a very strong relationship with my wife. I feel like I am an active, great listener and can help people. I feel like, if I don’t have an official title, I’m somewhat of a therapist to myself and a lot of my friends,” she said.
She said she’s been approached by a few producers but has also called for those developing ideas in the space to give her a shout.
“There’s so many dating shows. Come on the queers need love too,” she added. “In a way that is not made to be a spectacle of any sort, like true foundation of love and trying to find a person.”
Kish has more experience on reality television now than she ever has, having appeared on Season 4 of Peacock’s The Traitors, where she finished eighth overall.
