After making her mark in sci-fi horror with M3GAN, Allison Williams is staying in the genre for another high-stakes thriller. The actress has officially joined the upcoming sci-fi survival film, a tense new project said to draw inspiration from A Quiet Place, 10 Cloverfield Lane, and Independence Day. With Williams leading the cast alongside Michelle Randolph, the movie is shaping up to be an intriguing blend of survival, suspense, and large-scale mystery.

What do we know about the new sci-fi thriller movie with Allison Williams?

Williams will next be seen alongside Randolph in the sci-fi survival movie titled Homewrecker. It will be directed by Xavier Gens (Under Paris, Hitman, Lupin, and Sky’s Gangs of London). The writers include Elisa Bell (Vegas Station, Little Black Book) and Travis Gordon.

The story of this thriller unfolds during a heartbreaking domestic revelation. It sees three star-crossed Americans suddenly forced to work together to survive a terrifying, unexplained global event that threatens to destroy life as they know it.

Talking about the film, director Gens revealed, “I’m thrilled to explore American mythology from a uniquely intimate point of view. I can’t wait to share the set with Allison Williams and Michelle Randolph and push the boundaries of humanity further than I’ve ever gone before.”

Explaining her reason for joining this movie, Allison Williams said, “I found the script riveting, and it had a depth that continued shifting and revealing itself as I read. Then, knowing Xavier’s work, I was very eager to work with this talented filmmaker. I’m grateful to be part of this team and this project.”

Homewrecker is being produced by Denise Di Novi (Crazy, Stupid, Love, Little Women, A Walk To Remember, Batman Returns, Heathers), Margaret French Isaac (Stepmom, The Fan), and Oliver Scherick. Moreover, Michael Rothstein and Samuel Hall will serve as executive producers for North.Five.Six, which is launching sales at the Cannes Market. Production on the film begins mid-July in France.

The Homewrecker movie is yet to receive an official release window.
