With that in mind, we gathered a list of the most noteworthy shows either debuting or returning in May and asked you to vote for the ones you were most excited for. Read on to see the 5 Most Anticipated TV or Streaming Shows of May!

No. 1

Premiere Date: May 25, 2026 on Prime Video

Prime Video’s new Marvel series, Spider-Noir, was voted the most anticipated TV show of May by RT users, and for good reason. The live-action dark thriller stars Nicolas Cage as Ben Reilly and focuses on a grizzled, older version of the hero in an alternate 1930s New York City. The series premieres on MGM+ and Prime Video on May 25.

No. 2

Premiere Date: May 24, 2026 on Adult Swim

Voted No. 2 this month is one of our favorite animated duos: Rick and Morty. Season 9 is set to air on Adult Swim on May 24, and if it’s anything like the first eight seasons, which are all ranked Fresh and Certified Fresh, this one is sure to be another wild and hilarious ride.

No. 3

Premiere Date: May 4, 2026 on Netflix

Certified Fresh at 92% on the Tomatometer, The Lord of the Flies was voted the fourth most anticipated show of May. The Netflix adaptation of the beloved novel by William Golding is set to air May 4 and is already getting positive reviews from critics who say the limited series is “influential, hypnotic, and witty.”

No. 4

Premiere Date: May 15, 2026 on Paramount+

If you just can’t get enough of the Yellowstone universe, you’re in luck, because this month brings us the latest iteration of the franchise in Dutton Ranch. The series centers on Kelly Reilly’s Beth Dutton and Cole Hauser’s Rip Wheeler as they struggle to start a new life after moving to a ranch in Texas.

Finally, coming in fifth this month is the second season of The Four Seasons, the dramedy series starring and co-created by Tina Fey and based on Alan Alda’s 1981 film of the same name. The first season charted the relationships between six friends across four different vacation get-togethers in one year after one of the couples announces that they’re separating. To tell you more about what seaons 2 entails would involve spoilers for season 1, so we’ll just leave it there.
