EXCLUSIVE: Netflix’s The Night Agent has rounded out the main cast for its upcoming fourth and final season with the addition of Abigail Breslin and David Denman as new series regulars and Annabeth Gish as a major recurring.
In addition to returning star Gabriel Basso who plays the titular Night Agent Peter Sutherland, they join recently cast new series regulars Titus Welliver, Trevante Rhodes, Li Jun Li and Elizabeth Lail. Production on Season 4 of the action thriller from creator, executive producer and showrunner Shawn Ryan and Sony Pictures Television began Monday in Los Angeles where the series is relocating after two seasons in New York.
As Deadline reported, Welliver will be playing Duval, a special DOJ prosecutor; Rhodes is playing Dom, Peter Sutherland’s (Basso) new partner; Li is playing Dom’s wife Min; and Lail will play Peter’s ex-fiancée Zoe.
Breslin is playing Cahlin, a young FBI agent working on Duval’s investigation into Night Action. Denman is playing Ford, a veteran CIA agent and former head of a Joint Terrorism Task Force. Gish is playing Holland, an FBI agent who joins the DOJ investigation into Peter Sutherland.
This marks only the second series regular role for Breslin; she previously was part of the main cast of Ryan Murphy’s Scream Queens. Her feature credits include Little Miss Sunshine, Zombieland and Stillwater. She is repped by Paradigm and Untitled.
The Office alum Denman most recently recurred on Season 2 of HBO Max’s Peacemaker and starred in the Netflix movie Rebel Ridge. He will next be seen in the Peacock series M.I.A. and Five Star Weekend. Denman is repped by UTA and Berwick & Kovacik.
The X-Files alumna Gish had a major recurring role on NBC’s Chicago Fire earlier this season. Her recent series credits also include Netflix’s Haunting of Hill House and Midnight Mass. She is repped by Thruline, Innovative and Felker McGinnis & Ryan.
