The Westminster Dog Show is no longer sitting and staying on Fox.

Netflix has struck a deal with the Westminster Kennel Club to be the new home for the competition, which is sponsored by cat food company Purina. The snooty pooches will premiere on the streamer in late January/early February for the 151st showing of the best-in-class Best in Show-bestower. The Westminster Dog Show takes place in New York City; the 2026 competition will feature more than 3,000 dogs across 200 breeds across three days and three nights.

The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show is America’s second-longest continuously held sporting event to the Kentucky Derby, which recently ran its 152nd race.

The doggy show’s daytime breed competitions (at the Javits Center) will be streamed live on Tudum.com and westminsterkennelclub.org. The evening judging (from Madison Square Garden) will be live on Netflix proper on February 1-2. The agility competition (Jan. 30) will be taped and streamed later.

The coveted Best in Show title will be awarded on Feb. 2 by Espen Engh, a third-generation “Greyhound fancier.”

“Following the momentum of Westminster’s historic 150th milestone event earlier this year, we are thrilled to begin an exciting new chapter with Netflix as our media partner,” said Dr. Donald Sturz, president of The Westminster Kennel Club. “Bringing the Westminster Dog Show to Netflix not only expands the reach of this iconic event but also introduces the sport of dogs to new audiences around the world. We are dedicated to growing America’s most beloved dog event year after year, inspiring new enthusiasts and fans across generations and across the globe to the wonderful sport of dogs.

“As a proud dog owner myself, it’s a real pleasure and honor to partner with The Westminster Kennel Club to air its 151st show live around the world on Netflix next year,” added Brandon Riegg, vice president of nonfiction series & sports at Netflix. “We’re thrilled to showcase this prestigious and beloved event to an even broader global audience, celebrating the dogs, their handlers, and the fans who love them.”
